Teen charged in AHS bomb scare

Waukesha – A 17-year-old Nashotah boy was charged today in Waukesha County Circuit Court with two felony counts of bomb scare for allegedly writing that a bomb would go off at Arrowhead High School April 30.

Andrew M. Frankwick of W327 N4248 Portside Drive, is accused of writing on a stall in the boy’s bathroom in North Campus: “There will be a bomb that will go off on Friday, April 30 to blow up all you (expletive) bullies and snobs. I’m sick of you,” according to the criminal complaint. Police searched North and South campuses but no bomb was found.

A second bomb threat was written on April 29 in another bathroom in North Campus. Letters were sent to parents alerting them of the situation but school remained open April 30 though attendance was low.

Frankwick admitted to police he wrote the bomb threats. “He stated he wrote the threat because he had a strong dislike for the majority of the students to stop bulling and start acting normal,” the complaint said. “He stated there was never a bomb and he would never put a bomb in the school.”

Frankwick will make his initial appearance in court July 7. If convicted he faces a maximum sentence of 7 years under state supervision.
