Area soccer teams play on


Kettle Moraine, And others advanced on Tuesday in the opening round of the WIAA boys soccer playoffs.

Trey Dowling had a hat trick for the No. 2 seeded Lasers, who  won  easily at home against Whitnall 11-1.

Arrowhead got a goal from Nate Skarie in its 1-0 victory over Homestead.

Jake Andersen scored twice for Mukwonago in its victory against Oconomowoc.

"I think  we came out and set the tone, " Shannon Schulte, the Mukwonago head soccer coach said. " In the second half, They (Oconomowoc) brought constant pressure, but I was proud of our team," she said.

Pewaukee advanced in WIAA Division 2 play with a victory over the St. John's Lancers.
