Denial of Insurance

 As a Business Owner with no employees other than ourselves, we have been in the Individual Medical Ins. game for quite a few years now.  With the recent law changes on Medical Insurance, 2015 will be the last year that we will be able to buy a policy that is not 'Health Care Law' compliant.  Since I, at least so far, am healthy, I've always looked at medical insurance as a necessity, should something happen in my future that would require me to enter medical world.  And, being able to buy the non-compliant policy for one more year will save us quite a bit of money premium wise.

Nursing Home or Not?

 One of the most uncomfortable situations for our family these days is when someone asks us why we don't take care of Mom Klink at our house?  Anyone that has a family member in a nursing home dreads this question.  It goes to the very core of our emotions and it's hard not to take it as a criticism of how Mom is being taken care of.  There are many situations in families with different approaches on just how to take care of your 'Elder'.  Here is how we made our decision.
