The life of Don "Red" Roskopf was celebrated September 30th, 2012 at the Golf Club at Camelot in Lomira. Red took on many leadership roles across Waukesha County and beyond, and many residents and other connections from Waukesha County contributed to a remarkable attendance for this historical event. There were over 160 people in attances with even a greater number responding in regrets of not having been able to have attended.
A big part of Red's life was dedicated and focused in his affinity for non-profit, charitable, philanthropic, and otherwise volunteer capacities and organizations. The Wisconsin State Polka Boosters were very please with how Camelot and the attendees gave warm reception to the committment towards the Wisconsin State Dance that is Polka as well as other ethnic and cultural aspect revolving around the genre. Many great events continue to talk place towards this love that Red had towards what the eventfullness of polka brought to his life and those around him: www.wisconsinpolkaboosters.com
The Golf Club at Camelot continues to welcome folks from all around the Living Lake Country areas and beyond around this great state of Wisconsin to stop into the haven with hospitality that just can't quite be experienced anywhere else. Camelot draws people on an interstate level as it did Sept. 30th with a group from OH partaking in Red Roskopf Day.
Lions Clubs International was well represented at the Camelot galla including Lions providing free diabetes screening to all patronage that was out there also enjoying fantastic fall weather.
The Packer Victory was obviously icing on the cake.
