Pewaukee and Oconomowoc: Weekend fun zones

Published on: 8/21/2009

Usually the fun in Lake Country is spread out among the various communities, but this weekend Pewaukee and Oconomowoc have a monopoly on exciting activities.

  • There's a little something for everyone at the Pewaukee Antique & Classic Boat Show this Saturday, which also features an Art Fair, live music, children's activities and food, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lakefront Park.
  • If you've ever wanted the chance to dunk Waukesha District Attorney Brad Schimel, come to the Softball Game Fundraiser at Village Park in Pewaukee, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and also enjoy sports, food, an auction and more in memory of Bryce Dempsey.
  • The family of Oconomowoc resident Beccee Smith-Kujawa is hosting a Love for Life Benefit at Roosevelt Park with live music, educational demonstrations, silent and live auctions, a beer and wine tent and much more, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
  • Keeping with the "fun for a good cause" theme, take a nature hike or tractor ride and enjoy lunch and ice cream at the Hike for Hospice, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
