Truck driver dies in I-94 crash; backups in Waukesha County
The driver of a semitrailer truck has died in Jefferson County after a rollover crash that has closed westbound I-94 in Waukesha County according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The wreck happened about 10:20 a.m. near mile marker 274, according to the State Patrol.
Authorities are trying to clear 3,500 gallons of fertilizer that spilled from the truck, Sgt. Tanya Connors of the State Patrol said.
Drivers are being told to exit the interstate at State Highway 67 in Waukesha County and to follow Highway 67 south, Highway 18 west and Highway 26 north to get back to I-94 westbound at the Johnson Creek exit.
The State Patrol is trying to reopen the interstate by noon, Connors said.
