Nathan Vannarom put Friday night's donneybrook to bed. Finally.

It took three overtime sessions, but Vannarom's 43-yard field goal in the third overtime session was the deciding factor in  Sussex-Hamilton's 32-29 victory over the Mukwonago Indians.

Mukwonago and Hamilton both scored touchdowns in the second overtime. The Indians got a touchdown from Joshua Tanguay on fourth down and goal. The  Chargers drew even on a score from Taylor Hillmann.

The contest was tied 22-22 after regulation.

"This was a very emotional game," John Damato, Hamilton's head football coach said.

Mukwonago head coach Bill Schulte thought highly about his team's showing despite the outcome.

"It was a great game. We're a little frustrated. We feel like we should be 2-0 and we're 0-2, but we played a heck of a lot better today than we did last week," Schulte said. "It was one of those games  .. I'm proud  of the way our kids the way they hung in there and got after it."

The Chargers are 2-0 heading into the Greater Metro Conference season.
