After being arrested for his involvement in a sex sting, Bobby T. Jones, aka Tom Jones, 66, of the Village of Mukwonago, resigned from his positions on the Village Board of Building and Zoning Appeals and on the Fox River Commission.

Jones was arrested in Green Bay on May 12 for allegedly using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and exposing a child to harmful material after he began emailing a college student posing as a 14-year-old girl. When the email conversations turned sexual, the Green Bay Police Department set up a sting operation.

Jones has been charged with the use of a computer to facilitate a sex crime and second-degree sexual assault of a child.

Jones’ preliminary hearing was held in Green Bay June 4, where a waiver of preliminary hearing form was filed. Jones is set for arraignment July 28 at 10:30 a.m.
